There's nothing to say it is Microsoft, and he was speaking about publisher's cherry picking who they think will give a favorable review. Unless there's a pro-Microsoft list of sites getting Kinect....
Regardless of fanboy allegiances, I am reluctant to purchase any new product or technology until I am confident. You should wait until after launch. Let Oprah's ilk beta test it for you.
There are prompters in the studio that tell them what to do. I don't know how Oprah keeps them mindless outside the studio.
BTW. I HATE OPRAH. If I was the world's biggest PS3fanboy, I'd give everyone I can a 360 if it would see her burn. She's a demagogue of the TV's mindless!
That's revenue of 300 million, probably a profit of less than 100 million from you two million without considering advertising. If I were to consider advertising...it'd be a loss. Go back to 3rd grade math.
2 million time 150 = 300 million.
Half billion = 500 million.
500 million > 300 million.
Simples.
The kids will be the ones regretting it. Mom will be working out to Mel B.
New Years is the time for gym memberships.
Three dance titles, three sports titles, and five, five frickin' fitness titles.
One could actually guess the PS3 is the last bastion of good gaming. The Kinect has too many "Sports" titles to not expect shovelware, but I can say the same to a lesser degree for the Move. The fitness titles are too many too; likely to have some of those titles on the Move *sigh*. Shovelware is shovelware.
This is more like core vs. casual than PS3 vs. 360 or M...
Oh yeah, if F1 can blow Halo off the #1 spot, GT5 will be a beast. It would kill Kinect in Europe. If anything this has given Microsoft an opening on the large peninsula on the Northwest of Asia.
Kinect is not a threat to GT5. This would be a likely reason if the date for Move was changed because of Halo. But GT5 would have murdered Kinect in regions where it is popular.
Here in the States, I doubt it would matter. COD is another story.
Mine's has been lost for a two months.
Probably NPD numbers they actually bought. I believe what Pachter says about the past, not necessarily the future. I think the 300K is reliable.
With Halo Reach, I think 300K is decent. Still Sony has to drop this slow start, word of mouth bull if it expect to sell more than Kinect. Actually I don't think they care - playing the course and not the competition so to speak. Such games are left for the fanboys.
Weird that the article announcing 1.5 millions sales in Europe was disapproved, but something like this was accepted. And this is supposed to be a Sony fanboy site...? Whatevs!
NPD makes money off providing information, and now they want peeps to pay for it. It is what they normally do.
Sony rarely gives sales numbers, mostly comments on NPD numbers. Why should they start now?
How is over 2 million for a month bad? How is 300K for a mo...
Lost my disc a while back, but sometime after Hulu. Be great to have both.
What is 'below expectations'? It all depends on whose expectations we're talking about.
Sony has historically set a low bar. Although they would say their success, I would call some of Sony's initiatives weak, but Move doesn't seem like one of them so far. For them 300K is probably above expectations. I dont think it is PR talk either. I think they introduce a product to make a quick buck for a two-three years. They said Move would have a slow start ...
Why should Sony think that you care? I'm sure NPD is tracking; it's just not publishing anymore. They sell that information, y'know? To whom, you may ask...market researchers and people employed in the industry.
NOT frickin' trolls and fanboys. You are not even a though for places like EEDAR and NPD. Why should you even need to know? Sony will tell you when it suits their PR purposes.
Well guess what? Bloomberg has just reported“very si...

Joe Soap may also say "Looky here. The 360 has a camera. Looky here the PS3 has a camera and a controller like the Wii. Wow! The PS3 does do everything...at $50 cheaper."
My point is that Kinect is going to have to differentiate itself more from Move than not being a controller. The PSEye is out, having a camera on a console is not totally foreign to anyone who has a console. It is going to have to do this in the games, and SOME, if not many Kinect games are ...
When you have a stack of 30 games, 10 of which you have multi-player for and 5-8 you play every once in a while...you buy a new system. You have more money in games than you have in a single console.
Saying you don't enjoy a console marks you as a 360 fanboy...
I enjoy games...and I enjoy games on any console I get the opportunity to play, which often includes the 360 even if I don't own one.
Still Microsoft's handling of Natal/Kinect has always been suspect.
